IMR
IMR (In-Mold Roller / In-Molding Roller), also known as in-mold transfer printing, is a surface decoration technology that combines decorative patterning with the injection molding process.

The IMR Process
The IMR process can be broken down into four simple steps
The IMR process can be broken down into four simple steps: film placement → injection molding → pattern transfer → film peeling. A printed PET film is fed into the mold, molten plastic is injected, heat and pressure transfer the ink pattern onto the part, and finally the carrier film is stripped away, leaving the decorated product.
Film Placement: The PET film (also called foil film) with pre-printed patterns is precisely fed into the injection mold by a film feeding machine.
Injection: The mold is closed, and high-temperature molten plastic is injected into the cavity.
Transfer: Under high temperature and high pressure, the plastic bonds tightly with the ink layer on the film, and the pattern is transferred onto the surface of the product.
Peeling: The mold opens, and the film above the mold is automatically peeled away, leaving behind only the finished product with the decorative pattern.
